We know that the sudden suspension of in-person services at the library is an inconvenience for many of our patrons. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been changing and adapting our services quickly in order to be responsive to the needs of our community. BUT, these quick changes mean that is it sometimes difficult to keep track of everything that the Law Library is doing.
In order to keep you up to date on all of the programs and services we are offering, we have decided to host a weekly Facebook Live check-in we are calling “What’s Happening Now.” Think of it as an interactive newsletter that allows you to ask questions and get real-time answers about what is going on with the Law Library.
Our inaugural broadcast will be Thursday, December 3rd at 2 pm, and will be hosted by Reference Librarian Havilah Steinman Bakken. Havilah will share information on accessing Lexis e-books through the San Diego Digital Law Library, our upcoming MCLE Crunch Time classes, and, most importantly, asking questions and researching from the comfort of your home. To access What’s Happening NOW, use this link to navigate to our Facebook page on Thursday, Dec. 3rd, at 2 pm and you can see our smiling faces!
What’s Happing NOW is just one of the many resources that we have made available to help you with your legal issues during the COVID-19 crisis. Check out our Classes, Legal Databases, and COVID-19 Legal Issues pages for more information! If you have any questions about our webinars or accessing our legal databases, please contact us by email, telephone, or Virtual Front Desk (weekdays between 2 pm and 4 pm). Or, you can sign up for a telephone appointment with a reference librarian.
