Volunteer to Help Crawford Academy

By Kelly on August 15, 2015//Leave a comment

Crawford High School is looking for practicing attorneys to serve as mentors to the 11th graders in its Academy of Law program. More than half the participants are “at risk,” and mentors serve an important role in the Academy of Law curriculum.  After orientation (tentatively set for October 1, from 6 to 8 pm), each mentor meets his or her assigned mentee from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm on the third Tuesday of each month between October and June.  The meetings are at Crawford High, located approximately 10 minutes from downtown San Diego.

Program materials provide structure for the meetings, which allow time and opportunities for each mentor to teach, inspire, and support students in achieving their college and career goals.  More information is available. To volunteer to be a mentor, fill out the online application by August 30, 2015.
