By popular demand, our friends at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) are not only helping with federal income tax issues, but they are also assisting with unemployment insurance benefits! The Law Library is proud to partner with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego to provide a Tax and Unemployment Insurance Benefits Talk. The practitioners at LITC will discuss tax issues like IRS wage garnishments, bank levies, audits, EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) denials, negotiated settlements, AND provide assistance and information on applying for unemployment insurance benefits with the Employment Development Department, assistance with benefit denials, and discuss how to appeal to California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUIAB).
And, the best thing about this clinic is that you can get your questions answered without having to make the trip Downtown and pay for parking!
