About this Class:
Are you mystified by how California determines child support? Our class, How the Court Determines Child Support, will explain the math and the policy choices behind the statewide guidelines used for determining child support. Don’t worry – the presentation does not require you to have any particular talent for math. If you can do basic math, even if you have to use your fingers, then you will be able to follow along.
The class is intended for for parents who want to learn what factors the Court uses to determine child support. Additionally, it will help attorneys understand how the court implements child support guidelines.
The Access to Law Initiative and the San Diego Law Library present this program FREE as a community service.
About the Speaker:
Ari Hornick, Esq. is a solo practitioner with the Access to Law Initiative at California Western School of Law. Mx. Hornick practices preventive law for lawyers.
