We are proud to be an official drop-off location for Socks for Stand Down 2018! We will be collecting new, unused socks through June 18 to be donated to Stand Down San Diego.  You can drop off items at our Downtown or North County branches. Socks for Stand Down was started in 2015 by Senator Toni G. Atkins after local organizers expressed a need for socks and underwear for homeless veterans attending Stand Down.

San Diego’s 31st Annual Stand Down event will be held June 29th through July 1st. It is a collaborative event, sponsored by Veterans Village of San Diego Stand Down events are one to three-day events providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Also, veterans receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, and mental health counseling.
