Ticket and Infraction Amnesty Ending April 3

By Kelly on March 23, 2017//Leave a comment

The one-time amnesty law for unpaid pre-2013 traffic tickets and non-traffic infractions is expiring April 3. You can participate in the program if:

  1. You have unpaid tickets with bail or fines originally due to be paid on or before January 1, 2013 AND you are not current with payments. You may be eligible to have your debt reduced by 50 to 80 percent, based on income, and the hold on your driver’s license released. OR
  2. You were delinquent, but are currently making payments or become current at the date of the request. You are not eligible for a reduction, but you may be eligible to have the “failure to appear or pay” notification removed from your driving record.

Parking tickets and most misdemeanors are not eligible for the program.

If you think you are eligible for the Amnesty program, then complete the Amnesty Program Participation Form and bring it to the court where the delinquent ticket is filed.
