Attended the University of Southern California. He played twelve years of professional football as offensive lineman (San Diego Chargers: 10 years; Oakland Raiders: 2 years). Ron Mix was a first-round draft choice of the NFL’s Colts in 1960, but elected to sign with Chargers. Nicknamed “Intellectual Assassin.” He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979. He is Past President of the Hall of Fame Players Association. He had only two holding penalties in his career.
Mr. Mix is active on various levels in attempting to obtain increase in retirement benefits for former professional football players. He has national attorney rating of AV, which is the highest rating an attorney can obtain for skill and integrity.
