San Diego Superior Court Closed Through May 22

In the State of the Court Address hosted by the San Diego County Bar Association on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, the Hon. Lorna A. Alknse, Presiding Judge of the San Diego Superior Court, announced that the Court would extend its closure through May 22nd in an on-going effort to mitigate community spread of COVID-19.

 

Due to the fact that the Court will be closed on Monday, May 25th for the Memorial Day holiday, the revised planned re-opening date of the San Diego Superior Court is Tuesday, May 26th, 2020.

 

Until that time, the Court will be provide specific services listed on their website, including emergency protection orders for Domestic Violence, Gun Violence, and Civil Harassment. Additionally, the court issued a Third Implementation Order of the Presiding Judge, which outlines the court closure and extensions of the court holiday.

 

For updates from other California state and federal trial and appellate courts, the San Diego County Bar Association has created a “California Courts – Updates” webpage to assist the public.
