The San Diego County Registrar’s office is currently recruiting poll workers, especially individuals bilingual in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese, Khmer, Japanese, Korean and Hindi, for the next Primary Election, on June 3.
To be eligible to apply, volunteers must be either a U.S. Citizen, registered to vote in California, or a lawfully admitted permanent resident. Qualified candidates are also required to complete an online training course and attend a two-hour class in preparation for their duties. Depending upon the assignment, poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $75 to $175, bilingual poll workers receive an additional $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters.
