Philanthropic Strategies for Saving Innovation, Panelist Carmen Bianchi
Carmen Bianchi has been a Family Business Consultant since 1991. She is the founder of the Entrepreneurial Management Center (EMC) Business Forum for closely held and family businesses at San Diego State University 2004 as well as having been the founder in 1991 of the University of Texas at El Paso Family Business Forum where she was the executive director of the Forum. She is the principal of Carmen Bianchi & Associates, a consulting firm in Family Business. Ms. Bianchi currently teaches the MBA program at San Diego State University on Family Business Management.
She has been invited by numerous national and international organizations to speak on family business issues, in October 2006 she ran a 2 day symposium on family business issues at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as in May 2006 at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. Ms. Bianchi just recently returned from India where she conducted two 2 day symposiums on family business using the case study methodology at the University of Hyderabad and the Graduate School of Management in Coimbatore India. She has done workshops in South Africa for many family businesses, also at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, Italy and Australia.
Ms. Bianchi was the President of The Family Firm Institute 2007/2009, of which she has been a member since 1991 and is currently the Conference Chair for the FFI Global Summit to be held here in San Diego October 2013.
Ms. Bianchi will be a panelist at Philanthropic Strategies for Saving Innovation, an MCLE event sponsored by the Hartford Group of Merrill Lynch.
