Since the Law Library buildings closed in March due to the pandemic, we have been providing reference assistance and document delivery via email and telephone calls. And, although we have been busy answering your phone calls and emails and creating new resource guides, webinars, and remote database pathways, WE MISS YOU!

We enjoy the personal interaction and comes with assisting our patrons with their reference questions, and returning phone calls and answering emails just isn’t the same.  Additionally, we realize that the back and forth of phone and email tag isn’t the most efficient way to communicate with patrons who need more in-depth assistance.

So, we are trying a new way to connect with you, our patrons. We have created an appointment system so you can now schedule a 30-minute appointment to communicate with us and get some real time assistance.  This way, you will get the same dedicated attention that you would receive when you come to the Law Library! We have appointments for:

  • Reference Assistance
  • Database Assistance
  • Borrowing & Benefit Accounts

At the time of your appointment, one of our reference librarians will contact you by telephone and, if necessary, video chat to provide you with assistance. Please know that since we are working from home, the call you receive will be from a blocked number!

You can find the appointment booking link on our Resources Available from Home page, or by using this direct link to our appointment system.

Reference appointments are just one of the many resources that we have made available to help you with your legal issues during the COVID-19 crisis. Check out our ClassesLegal Databases, and COVID-19 Legal Issues pages for more information! And, as always, you can still contact us via email or telephone with any questions or for more information or assistance! We hope to hear from you soon!
