December is the start of the most wonderful time of the year: MCLE Crunch Time! Check back often because we are adding more MCLE classes by the minute!
All of our classes are now being held via Zoom webinar due to the ongoing pandemic, which makes them easily viewable from your home or office. Each Crunch Time class only costs $10. However, if you sign up for our Unlimited MCLE Package, you can attend as many classes as you want between the date that you sign up and January 1st, 2022 for just $75!
Each class provides one hour of participatory MCLE credit and we have classes that provide highly desirable specialty requirements. The classes currently scheduled are:
- Tues., Dec. 1st, Survey of the Name, Image, and Likeness Landscape in College Sports: A presentation about current trends in sports licensing, and the ability of college athletes to enter into endorsement deals.
- Mon., Dec. 7th, Professional Responsibility and Technology During COVID-19 (Ethics Credit): A presentation about legal ethics rules and best practices related to the use of technology by attorneys during COVID-19.
- Thurs., Dec. 10th, Lotto Tickets to PDFs: Altered Documents in Legal Cases: An overview of the issues related to altered documents in legal cases and how they are identified by professional experts.
- Wed., Dec. 16th, The Law and Science of Impaired Driving (Competency Credit): This class will discuss the laws and science of impaired driving, including driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs.
California attorneys who wish to maintain their eligibility to practice law MUST complete 25 hours of approved MCLE credits every three years. The deadline for attorneys whose last names start with a letter from H through M to complete those 25 hours is February 1, 2021. At least 12.5 hours have to be participatory and the remaining half can be self-study.
