NEW Digital Law Library Makes Lexis E-Books Available to Borrowers
We know that the pandemic has been hard on your ability to access the legal resources you need. We have been trying our best to ensure that you have as many resources as possible available remotely. So, we are pleased to announce the San Diego Digital Law Library!
We have purchased the LexisNexis Digital Law Library (ebooks) on the Overdrive platform. This program allows our borrowers to log in through our electronic books portal and access over 60 titles from Lexis, including California Forms of Pleading and Practice, California Points and Authorities, and California Legal Forms: Transaction Guide.
To access the electronic book library, borrowers can follow the San Diego Digital Law Library link on our Legal Databases webpage. The link will open a login page, and borrowers must select “Borrower Access” as their library and then enter their full library card number to enter the electronic books library. For further information about how to log in to the San Diego Digital Law Library check out our login instructions here. Patrons can check out up to three electronic books at a time, and the check out period is seven days. And, Lexis also offers a user-friendly app that you can download to access the digital library from your phone or tablet, which can be found in your device’s App Store!
If you are not currently a borrower and would like to become one to access the San Diego Digital Law Library, Gale California Legal Forms, HeinOnline, the National Consumer Law Center Database, and of course, borrow books, you can start the registration process here. After completing the online form, contact us by email, telephone, or schedule a telephone appointment with a reference librarian and we can complete your registration and give you instructions to pay your fees.
And, if you are already a borrower but have misplaced your library card or you need to pay off your fines to access our online databases, just give us a call. We are happy to help you out!
Our webinars are just one of the many resources that we have made available to help you with your legal education during the COVID-19 crisis. Check out our Classes, Legal Databases, and COVID-19 Legal Issues pages for more information! If you have any questions about our webinars or accessing our legal databases, please contact us by email, telephone, or Virtual Front Desk (weekdays between 2 pm and 4 pm). Or, you can sign up for a telephone appointment with a reference librarian.
