Questions About Divorce? NCRC Offers Answers

The National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) offers assistance to individuals contemplating divorce or who are currently in divorce proceedings. Every third Saturday of the month, NCRC offers a four hour workshop covering:
- Legal issues: the legal process and procedures, laws regarding division of assets & debts, spousal & child support, sharing time with children/co-parenting;
- Financial issues: preparing for divorce, dividing the assets & the debts, valuing property, tax consequences, and other financial matters;
- Family/personal issues: possible impacts on the spouses & children, how to be strategic, minimizing acrimony, how to help children deal with the changes; and
- Mediation as an alternative to litigation: the mediation process and procedures, the benefits of mediation, and the costs of mediation.
When: April 19, 2014 (every third Saturday of the month)
Time: 9-1 p.m.
Location: Command Center, 2640 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106
Cost: $35 pre-registration; $45 at the door.
