Primary elections may not be until June, 2018, but it is never too early to make sure you can voice your opinion. And today, September 26th, is a great day to do it because it is National Voter Registration Day. The San Diego Law Library is one of almost 3,000-partner organizations nation-wide providing voter registration information. Voter Registration forms are available at our Downtown and Vista locations.

San Diego County residents can register to vote, check registration status, or request a mail ballot online at the San Diego Registrar of Voters website. Check out the California Secretary of State website for answers to frequently asked questions about voter registration.

National Voter Registration Day celebrates our democracy and educates Americans about voting. It works through partnerships and new technology to create awareness of voter registration options and to teach people about signing up for election reminders, checking their registration online, getting mail-in ballots, and early voting. Last year, 750,000 voters used National Voter Registration Day to register to vote.
