Thank you for celebrating this holiday season with us. We welcomed over 100 guests at our Open House on Thursday, December 11 offering food, drink and live music by talented musician Rick Rutti and singer Ria Carey.

At the Open House, we highlighted our biggest events and accomplishments throughout the year. We also announced the winner of the 2014 Book of the Year: The Divide: American Injustice in the Age of the Wealth Gap, which won by 57% of the votes. Thank you for participating!

In addition, we appreciate your excitement and enthusiasm over our “Guess the Number of Books on the Bookmas Tree” contest. We received 54 guesses and over 22,000 views on  Facebook! The lucky winner of the contest came close with a guess of 680 books. The actual number of books needed to build the 9 foot tall Bookmas Tree was 672.

Our fabulous Bookmas Tree, generously sponsored by CEB, is still up to view and take photos. Add ornaments and gifts to the Tree to help us reach our goal of $1,500. Visit any of our locations to contribute or donate online. Thanks to generous donors during our Open House, we reached the $1,000 mark and just need an additional $500.
