Mark Your Calendars for Events in September
We know it is still summer, but September is just around the corner, and the new month brings four new events at SDLL!
At our downtown location we will host two lunch time MCLE classes.
On September 17th, from 12 pm to 1 pm, local attorneys Pam Kleinkauf and Maria Nunez will present a class entitled, “Bankruptcy Overview.”
And, on September 23th, Alysson Snow from the Legal Aid Society of San Diego will teach another lunchtime class entitled, “PACE Loans and Solar Panel Issues.”
These classes will each cost $25 and provide one hour of general participatory continuing legal education credit. More information about these classes and how to register will be available soon on our website. And, if you want to save on MCLE, check out San Diego Law Library’s benefit packages! For more details see our website!
In North County we have two FREE classes open to the community.
The first class is part of the San Diego Law Library’s ongoing Know the Law series which is a partnership between SDLL, the San Diego County Library, and the North County Bar Association. It will take place at the San Diego County Library’s Vista Branch on September 17th, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. This class focuses on elder law, and it entitled, “Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities: tips on selecting and monitoring.” To reserve your space for this class, please register here.
The second class is “Small Business 102,” and will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm on September 24th, at the Encinitas Community & Senior Center. This class is a continuation of the popular Small Business 101 classes we have previously offered. During the class participants will learn accounting, finance, and bookkeeping basics for both the beginning business owner and the experience professional. Speakers from the North County Bar Association and the North San Diego Small Business Development Center will present the information, and after the class there will be an optional networking session from 4 pm to 5 pm. This class is brought to you through a partnership with SDLL, the City of Encinitas, Mira Costa College, the 101 Main Street Associations, and the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce. To reserve you space for this class, please register through our website.
