Emerging Issues for LGBT Immigrants

About the Program:
·1 hour MCLE General Participatory Credit is available.
This program will address cutting edge topics involving the LGBT immigrant community including the potential for marriage-based immigration in a post-DOMA world, asylum and asylum-type remedies for LGBT persons, U visas for same-sex domestic violence survivors and deferred action for young people.
About the Speaker:
A “big firm” alum, Ms. Ginger E. Jacobs started her own firm, Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP, in 2004. She is deeply involved with immigration-related non-profit organizations and grassroots advocacy efforts for immigration reform and immigration equality. She specializes in immigration remedies for survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes.
