Legal Reference Question of the Week

Attorney at the courthouse examining paperwork

Q: Do you have a sample writ of mandamus for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals?

There are many different mandamus forms and they have different purposes.

The Am Jur Pleading and Practice Forms  provides an entire chapter with mandamus forms. We also have sample mandamus forms in Federal Procedural Forms.

For this particular patron, the sample mandamus form that he was interested in was the “Petition for Writ of Mandamus Compelling Exercise of Supplement Jurisdiction.”  This form is available in the Rutter Group California Practice Guide: Ninth Circuit Civil Appellate Practice at our Downtown and Vista locations and online through our Westlaw database.
