Q. How do I prepare for trial?

Trial preparation is a big topic. Understandably, if you are new to litigation, you may feel some concern about preparing for trial for the first time. Luckily, we have some excellent resources that can make the task less daunting. Here are our top picks for trial preparation in San Diego Superior Court:

1.  Mary Alexander’s Civil Litigation Manual. My favorite tip: “Organization is extremely important for trial purposes so as to project a good image for the court and the jury.”

2. CEB Action Guide: Preparing for Trial. My favorite part is the convenient and easy to follow trial preparation checklist and a count down of tasks leading up to the trial date.

3. California Judges Benchbook: Civil Proceedings: Trial. My favorite part is the “managing stress” section. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep and take deep breaths!
