The San Diego Law Library has partnered with local public libraries in Chula Vista and El Cajon to provide access to several legal databases seven days a week. You can access Lexis Advance, CEB OnLaw, and HeinOnline.

A law librarian is available on most Mondays from 10 am to 2 pm. The law librarian comes to El Cajon on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month and to Chula Vista on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. They can tell you about resources and make referrals, but they cannot provide legal advice. The law librarian is not available on Law Library holidays.

Lexis Advance provides access to court opinions and California-focused legal books. CEB OnLaw provides access to over 100 books focused on California Law. HeinOnline allows you to search through hundreds of legal journals and to research through United States historical government documents back into the 1700s.

In Chula Vista, the legal databases are available at the Civic Center branch library at two computers near the passport desk.  In El Cajon, the databases are available at the El Cajon branch of the San Diego County Library at two computers near the reference desk.
