About this Event:

It’s that time of year: college football playoffs, Heisman trophies, and draft picks. Each year a new group of athletes enters the public consciousness and has the opportunity to make millions through the advertising and licensing of their name and image. And, with more sporting events and advertisements online there are more opportunities for athletes to enter into deals. This presentation will discuss current trends in sports licensing, including the pros and cons of California’s “Fair Pay to Play Act” which allows amateur athletes to enter into endorsement deals.
