Get some one on one time with our Librarians and learn about popular databases – like Lexis and CEB OnLaw! Every Saturday, you can join us at 10AM for our free Law Made Public classes at our Downtown location.

Participants will learn tips and tricks for using our databases. Did you know that CEB OnLaw has almost 150 different titles focused on California law? Topics range from child custody to landlord tenant and from criminal sentencing to municipal law. We have 4 different Lexis classes. Classes start with the basics of how to search and move on to finding case law or Shepardizing to determine if the case you found is still good law. You can even learn how to use Lexis’ electronic books, which include our most popular title, California Forms of Pleading and Practice. Check out the schedule here.

The classes will take place in the computer lab so you can follow along and experiment with sample research questions or use topics from your own case. These are small, informal classes and questions are welcome. The classes run 15 to 20 minutes.

No registration necessary and walk-ins are welcome. View more information here. For our more in-depth one hour database classes, be sure to check our class calendar.
