The San Diego Law Library Foundation Board of Trustees is searching for new board members who are passionate about the San Diego Law Library, want to increase access to justice for San Diego county residents and have an interest in fundraising and development. Law Library Foundation Trustees have a chance to help the law library serve the public while working with outstanding members of the legal community.

The San Diego Law Library Foundation is a charitable trust recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization whose sole purpose is to aid the law library in its mission to serve the people of San Diego. Since 1961 the Law Library Foundation has accepted donations and fundraised on behalf of the law library, which includes raising awareness of the law library’s role in the legal community and hosting the annual Witkin Awards reception.

The Law Library Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of twelve members who serve without compensation for three-year terms.  Basic obligations include attendance at Board meetings and Foundation events (currently being held remotely), meaningful participation in committee work, acceptance of official duties (if elected), and a motivation to fundraise and inform the public about the law library and its mission.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the San Diego Law Library Foundation Board of Trustees, you can apply by emailing your CV and cover letter to either Law Library Foundation President Ana Sambold at or Law Library Executive Director John Adkins at
