Our Know the Law Series returns for the spring. The first lecture in this series will focus on Landlord Tenant Law. The seminar is designed for both landlords and tenants. Attendees will learn about the new rental laws in California, as well as the law on deposits, maintenance, and evictions.

Our Know the Law! lectures provide a basic level of knowledge on a legal topic. The sessions are 60-90 minutes long and include a short Q & A session. The classes are designed to cover legal topics that you are likely to encounter in your daily life. Volunteer attorneys lead this multiple part series in their area of practice. These attorneys should NOT be considered as personal lawyers. You may be required to sign a waiver before speaking to an attorney that states that no attorney client relationship is being created with this free service. The lawyers are there to provide general guidance.

The Know the Law Series is a collaboration between the San Diego Law Library, the Vista Branch of the San Diego County Library, the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, and the North County Bar Association. And, if you would like more information or need assistance regarding Landlord/Tenant Law, please check out our Self-Help Guide on Landlord/Tenant Law. The Know the Law! Series will continue with two more seminars on Thursday, March 26th, and Thursday, April 23rd. We will be announcing the topics for these dates soon!
