Has Your Home Dropped in Value Over the Past Year?

By Isabel on April 17, 2013//Leave a comment

Property owners in San Diego County who believe their property’s market value has dropped below its current assessed value can request an informal property assessment review until April 30. Applications can be submitted online through the County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk  website. The application requires an understanding of the current market value of your home. You can reference the Net Taxable Value of your property by looking at your 2012-13 tax bill.

The more than 230,000 property owners whose values were reduced between 2005 and 2012 do not need to apply for another review. Their assessments will be automatically reviewed.

For more information, visit the Assessor’s website or call (858)505-6262.
