MCLE crunch time is here for attorneys whose last names start with N-Z. You have until February 1, 2020 to complete your required 25 hours. We have over 20 classes scheduled in December and January to help you meet your requirements.

Each 1 hour class is regularly $25, but there are 2 programs that can make them even more economical. Check out our MCLE yearly pass or our Discount pass. Sign up today! Keep reading your newsletter or checking the library’s calendar for new classes. All classes are Downtown and start at noon unless otherwise noted.

We kick off December with four classes the first week, including a competence credit on Tuesday.

  • December 3, Tuesday – The Law and Science of Impaired Driving – (COMPETENCE) – Learn about updated laws and science regarding impaired driving, including driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs (including illegal and prescription drugs).
  • December 4, Wednesday – Workers Compensation Basics – This class will provide an overview of workers’ compensation law including explanations of commonly used terms and acronyms, basic procedure, and employer subrogation rights and their impact on personal injury litigation.
  • December 5, Thursday – Domestic Violence Laws and Remedies -We will review domestic violence laws and definitions, warning signs for abusers and victims, protective orders, conviction consequences, and resources for abusers and victims.
  • December 6, Friday – Intellectual Property in Asset Schedules – Intellectual property comes in many forms. If it is not handled correctly during a bankruptcy, then there may be unforeseen consequences down the road. Gain insight on what to look for to protect your client.

Additionally, we have dozens of self-study MCLE audio recordings. You can listen at the library or can check them if you join our borrowing program.
