About the Program:
This class will provide an overview of the current landlord/tenant eviction process and highlight some of the common misperceptions regarding the laws in California. Judge Álvarez will share her insight on this subject based on her experience as an Unlawful Detainer judge.
About the Speaker:
The Honorable Judge Olga Álvarez graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and the University of San Diego School of Law. Judge Álvarez was appointed to the San Diego Superior Court bench in 2019, where she has served in the Civil Division for Unlawful Detainer. Judge Álvarez is a member of the University of San Diego School of Law Board of Visitors, and prior to her appointment as a judge, she worked as a litigator in private practice and received numerous accolades including the Super Lawyers Top 50 Lawyers list in San Diego and an AV®-Preeminent™ by Martindale rating – attributed to attorneys who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers.
