We are so excited to announce that this year we will be hosting a FREE, Virtual Law Day Legal Clinic in partnership with our friends at the North County Bar Association. At this legal clinic, volunteer attorneys will provide free 30-minute legal consultations for one of the following areas: family law, civil law and litigation (including landlord/tenant issues), trust and estate issues, immigration, and criminal law.

Please be aware, space is extremely limited and appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. To participate in this clinic, potential attendees will need to select their legal topic and register for either a morning or afternoon appointment time. Attendees can only register for one appointment.  During the registration, you will need to fill out a short questionnaire. If you qualify for an appointment, you will be notified by email of the specific appointment time for your 30-minute consultation and provided with a Zoom link.

The San Diego Law Library’s Law Day Free Legal Clinic Registration Page has links to register for the clinic and more information about the topics and services provided.

The San Diego Law Library and North County Bar Association are offering this free legal clinic as a community event to the public. The purpose of this event is not to be an attorney referral service nor are we recommending the services of any particular attorney. The Free Legal Clinic is limited to providing general information and advice and does not provide legal representation nor create an attorney-client relationship. You should retain legal counsel to advise you of your rights and obligations once you have met with a volunteer attorney or to undertake any legal representation.

The Law Day Free Legal Clinic is just one of the many resources that we have made available to help you with your legal needs during the COVID-19 crisis. Check out our ClassesLegal Databases, and COVID-19 Legal Issues pages for more information! If you have any questions about our webinars or accessing our legal databases, please contact us by emailtelephone, or Virtual Front Desk (weekdays between 2 pm and 4 pm). Or, you can sign up for an appointment for a telephone call with a reference librarian or to visit us in person at the library.
