This non-MCLE class will give an overview of the divorce process, the issues involved with child custody, and the rights to child and/or spousal support. There are many legal questions and financial consequences that arise when a marriage is ended. The results of a divorce have far reaching implications in many areas of life and depend on an understanding of nuanced rules. How much child support will be awarded, and whether spousal support should be, are common questions that will be explored.
