Many of you know that the Law Library offers access to Lexis Advance at all its locations and that you can access case law and California-focused secondary sources. What you may not know is that the Library’s subscription includes so much more than just the these frequently used materials.

One of the unknown gems of our subscription is that it provides access to a large collection of federal briefs, pleadings, and motions. This is a great resource to find sample briefs with similar subject matter to your issue. This is the only briefs database at the Library that you can search by keyword. The collection covers all the federal circuits.

The California portion of the subscription includes several exclusively electronic legal reference titles such as the California Guide to Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly, California Juvenile Courts Practice and Procedure, and the California Small Business Guide.

Lastly, the subscription provides access to case law and statutes from all 50 states and the federal courts. This includes administrative decisions from over 70 federal agencies, administrative codes for all the states, and attorney general opinions for all 50 states.
