About this Class:
Enforcing Judgments is our last MCLE class for 2017. Have you “won” your case, but don’t know how to collect your judgment? What court tools are available to enforce your judgment? This class is the one for you.
It has been said that 85% of Judgments are never collected upon. After all, the typical Judgment is simply a piece of paper that says that one party must pay money to another party. And the courts will not do anything to enforce the Judgment for you unless you tell the court exactly what you want it to do.
You will learn step-by-step methods to recover the greatest amount on a judgment, including when to renew a judgment to maximize the statutory 10% annual interest.
About the Speaker:
Jim J. Steinberg has been in private practice since 1989. He has served as a judge pro tem in the San Diego County Courts handling both traffic and small claims cases. Mr. Steinberg represents creditors in Civil, Family Law, and Criminal Restitution cases.
