Starting Tuesday, October 1st, the San Diego Superior Court will accept e-filing for probate cases “where either: the case is first initiated on or after Oct. 1, 2013; or the case is already pending as of Sept. 30, 2013, and has been imaged by the court.”

Thank you for your question. We have great resources here in the library that discuss the administration of an estate and the distribution of the estate. I would recommend that you visit one of our locations and we can help you get started. Two practice treatises that I recommend you start with is California Practice Guide: Probate, Chapter 16 which discusses the distribution of the estate. We also have a chapter in California Decedent Estate Practice that explains distribution. Feel free to contact us at: 619-531-3900 if you have any further questions. Thanks.
