On Monday, August 2nd, the Law Library will increase the hours at our Downtown location. Our hours will still be 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, but we are eliminating the hour closure for cleaning. We will continue to clean work stations throughout the day and will still provide cleaning supplies and masks for our patrons.
As of today, the Centers for Disease Control is recommending masks indoors for communities with a high or substantial rate of transmission. Per the CDC website, San Diego County currently has a high rate of transmission. At this time Cal/OSHA and the California Department of Public Health are not requiring masks for patrons who are fully vaccinated. We encourage everyone to continue to take safety precautions to protect their personal health.
If you are coming Downtown, please be aware that directly in front of the library, on Front Street, there is road construction that is loud and impeding the flow of traffic. Due to the construction, a fence blocks some sidewalk access in front of the building, but our main door is still accessible from the corner of C Street and Front Street. And please be aware, as offices and businesses are re-opening, parking lots are beginning to fill up. Give yourself plenty of time to locate parking, so you don’t lose precious legal research time!
At this time, our North County location remains closed for in-person services. We are circulating books in North County by appointment only, so call or email us if you need to check out or return a book in North County!
We are continuing our full array of remote services. So please contact us with any questions or to see if we can send you what you need; you may not even need to come Downtown! We are providing remote reference assistance Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. So, you can contact us by email or telephone, or schedule a reference appointment by telephone or Zoom.
