Authenticating Online Legal Information

By Benita on October 30, 2014//Leave a comment

Join the 2015 SANDALL (San Diego Area Law Libraries) Winter Institute for a unique and exciting program on the challenges and pitfalls of publishing authentic legal materials in cyberspace.

Why does authentication matter? If you are litigating a case in court or trying to settle a case, you want to know that you can rely on the information you find online. Authentication ensures that the document is accurate and trustworthy. Therefore, this is an important step for any case or statute you find online. Both the general public and attorneys will find this program useful. Attorneys can also receive MCLE credit during the luncheon and keynote address by Diane Boyer-Vine, Legislative Counsel of California. Click here for more information about the program.
