The San Diego Law Library has partnered with local public libraries in Chula Vista and El Cajon to provide access to several legal databases seven days a week. You can access Lexis Advance, CEB OnLaw, and HeinOnline.

A law librarian is available in El Cajon on the 1st and 3rd Monday and at Chula Vista on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. The law librarian can show you how to use the databases, guide you to legal resources, and make referrals to clinics and legal aid organizations. The law librarian is not available on Law Library holidays.

Lexis Advance provides access to court opinions and California-focused legal books. CEB OnLaw provides access to over 100 books focused on California Law. HeinOnline allows you to search through hundreds of legal journals as well as research through United States historical government documents back into the 1700s.

In Chula Vista, the legal databases are available at the Civic Center branch library at two computers near the passport desk.  In El Cajon, the databases are available at two computers near the reference desk.
