The second week of December brings you classes on craft brewery law and legal research at our Downtown location and our North County location is hosting the ethics of the virtual office.

  • December 10, Tuesday – Legal Research Using Free Websites – This popular class will introduce many free websites to help your legal research. We will cover searching for bills, codes, regulations, case law, and government forms.
  • December 11, Wednesday – Legal Issues Faced by Craft Breweries – We’ll look at entity formation, securities law, contract review, local, state and federal registration, trademark law, labor law, and franchise law in a craft brewery context.
  • December 12, Thursday – Virtual Law Office: Important Ethics Rules – (LEGAL ETHICS) (North County) – Virtual offices are becoming more common among lawyers. There are important ethics rules which relate to them. This 2019 DVD presentation explains those rules and gives practical suggestions to comply with them.
  • December 13, Friday – California Public Records Act -This presentation will cover Public Records Act issues, including the basic provisions, differences with FOIA, who can request records, and what records are exempt from disclosure.

Additionally, we have dozens of self-study MCLE audio recordings. You can listen at the library or can check them if you join our borrowing program.
