We have added a new section for our Spanish-speaking residents to our COVID-19 Legal Information page, titled COVID-19 Recursos en Español. We know that almost 25% of the population of San Diego County is primarily Spanish-speaking, and we constantly are looking to expand our resources for Spanish-speakers.

This webpage has information on Healthcare, Employment, Housing, Government Benefits, Utilities, Consumer Debts, Quarantines, and Taxes, with links to external websites that provide more guidance on the topics, all in Spanish.

Additionally, any website can be translated using the Google Translate website. The translation isn’t always perfect, but it has options for about 50 different languages. Just enter the website you would like translated on the left, and select the language of your choice from the drop-down menu above the box on the right. The link to the translated website will appear in the right-hand box in blue, and when you click on the link, your website will appear translated into the language of your choosing.

And, as always, we have Spanish-speaking reference librarians available to assist residents of San Diego County with their legal reference questions via email, telephone or statewide online chat and to make referrals to the local pro bono legal service providers who are assisting clients remotely!
