The San Diego Law Library will be closed Monday, May 31st, for Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a day to honor and mourn military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Though Memorial Day was declared a federal holiday in 1971, ceremonies such as parades and the decoration of graves with flowers date back to 1868.

While the law library is closed, we will not be providing reference services, but there are still many resources available on our website to assist you with your legal research needs. Start with our Self-Help Center or the research and motion guides on our website. If you have a COVID-19 related legal issue, take a look at our COVID-19 Legal Issues Page. They cover dozens of legal topics. Also, you can read self-help legal books any time by clicking on the Nolo Legal Information Reference Center link from the legal databases page. The law library will reopen Tuesday, June 1st for in-person appointments (by appointment only) and remote reference services.
