2015 – The Year of Water Law – as part of our year-long series highlighting the importance of water and water law to San Diego, we present…

This MCLE class will review the recently released, “Clean Water Rule: Definition of Waters of the United States.” The long-awaited and controversial regulation was issued on May 27, 2015 by the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It defines the scope of “waters” protected under the Clean Water Act. It will have considerable implications for developments in Western States where intermittent streams define many landscapes.

Our speaker is Marianne Greene. She is currently in private practice specializing in environmental and land use law. Previously, she was a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego and Deputy County Counsel for Merced County in the areas of land use and planning.
