Civil Appellate Workshop Tuesday March 16
Are you disappointed in your recent civil case in San Diego Superior Court? If you feel that the courts made a legal mistake during your trial that affected the outcome of your case, did you know you can file an appeal to the appellate court? But, how do you do it?
Join us Tuesday, March 16, at 4 PM, as we and the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and the San Diego County Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section host the monthly Civil Appellate Self-Help Workshop online. This workshop is designed for individuals with civil cases that want to appeal or have appealed their case to the 4th District Court of Appeal and who are not represented by an attorney. The Workshop will explain the appellate process and identify resources that can help handle an appeal.
The webinar will be held on Tuesday, March 16, at 4:00 pm. Attendees MUST register in advance by contacting the Legal Aid Society of San Diego at (619) 471-2781 or by registering online. If registering by telephone, potential registrants will then be called for screening and receive a Zoom link to the virtual workshop. If you miss this month’s workshop, there is one held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
The Civil Appellate Self-Help Workshop is also an opportunity to learn more about the Access to Appellate Justice Pro Bono Program, a program that pairs self-represented appellants with pro bono attorneys.
