Superior Court Filing Changes

By Kelly on November 23, 2015//Leave a comment

Starting December 1, the Central Division Civil Business Office of the San Diego Superior Court will be making changes to the documents that they will accept for over-the-counter filing. You will be able to file any new complaints, summons, or case initiating petition over-the-counter. Previously, due to budget reductions in 2012, they had to be filed via time-stamped drop box. There will be a maximum of 3 transactions processed by a clerk per person before you have to get back in line.

You will still be able to file temporary restraining orders, claim of right to possession or third party claim, ex parte papers, answers or responses to unlawful detainers, writs of execution, or any document submitted with a peremptory challenge.

There are some instances when comments will be edited or deleted. See our blog comment policy for more information.
