Thanks to a new partnership between the San Diego County Probation Department, the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force Team and San Diego 6 news station we may be seeing more wanted felons getting arrested. San Diego 6 is now airing a regular segment called San Diego Fugitive of the Week. Profiles of wanted felons are aired and then viewers can call in with tips.
Already, two wanted felons have been arrested with the help of the show’s viewers. One of the felons has been in and out of prison for various criminal offenses including a 1990 sexual assault of a child. The other wanted felon’s past crimes included child molestation in the 1970s and again in the 1990s. “Probation is very pleased with both captures,” said Supervising Probation Officer David Joralemon.
The Fugitive of the Week show airs Sunday nights at 10 p.m. on San Diego 6.
