By admin on October 10, 2014//Leave a comment

To enhance the law library user experience, we are creating Libguides on popular legal topics. Libguide is a free online content management system that allows us to share information with you online. You may conveniently access Libguides from the comfort of your home or office.

The first Libguide we would like to share with you is the Family Law Libguide on divorce proceedings in California. This guide will show a person who is starting or responding to a divorce:

1. How to progress with a divorce case from start to finish,

2. Where to find court forms, and

3. The best reliable sources of information, either available for free online or in print at the law library.

This is a one-stop shop for finding information about divorce proceedings.

Sometimes having a guide is a really good thing. I know with how law works, it can be really tricky to navigate every little nuance of what you can and can’t do. This is why lawyers exist and why they spend so much time in school to help people out. Thanks for posting this information!

Thanks for sharing these tips! Learning how to go through a divorce from start to finish would be helpful. I also think that finding the forms would be a big part of the process. Getting all this information together would make this sort of thing much more simple. My friend’s parents were divorced, and they said it was quite straightforward. Perhaps I will ask them about it, I am interested in the process.

That is awesome that there is a free guide on California family law. With the general public having access to something like this is going to help out so many people. This will simplify people’s lives and will make everything a lot easier to say the least. Only wish that more states offered something like this.

I’m glad to hear that there are tools out there to help people with difficult situations like this, especially when there are many people out there who don’t know all of the intricacies of the world of law (I’m included in that group). My sister is getting a divorce, but she doesn’t know how to proceed with it. I will definitely refer her to this Family Law Libguide for more information that will hopefully relieve some of her stress and answer her questions.

Thanks for sharing this! My wife and I are thinking it would be good to get a divorce, it would be better for everyone. Anyways, neither of us have ever done anything like this before, neither of us have even dealt with lawyers actually, but I think it would be good to sit down with a few lawyers and talk about their role in our relationship and stuff like that. What do you think?

It is really helpful to get a guide on divorce. It can be difficult to know what it involves and how to find all the proper forms. My sister is about to start the divorce process, but she isn’t really sure where to go to get started. If she had this guide, I am sure that would really help her find the correct information. It might also be good for her to get an attorney to help her with the more specific issues she is having.

Thanks for the step-by-step on how legal proceedings for a divorce go. My parents recently had some trouble with their divorce and ended up getting attorneys. It was ugly, but it’s good to know there are good people to help when they’re needed.

A friend of mine had a similar experience to yours. They were thinking about getting a divorce, but after a while it kind of comes down to living with the person or going through the trouble. In any case, family law is complicated. I’ll have to share this with my wife. Thanks!
