We are happy to cohost this program for small business owners and non-profit organizations with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program to discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting existing contractual obligations and what strategies can be used to negotiate and draft future contracts during these challenging time. Speaker Namita Thakker will address performance obligations, force majeure clauses, cancellation and termination, payment provisions, amendment terms, liability, and more.
Namita Thakker is an Associate at Clerkin, Sinclair & Mahfouz, LLP. She has both firm and in-house experience as a transactional attorney, focusing on commercial and business matters. She has drafted and negotiated contracts in a variety of contexts, including for small businesses. She received her JD from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
