No Charge (NOTE: legally-related government, court, or non-profit agency -affiliation must be documented – same terms as $75/ level borrower. Account must be used for work purpose only, no personal use)
Borrowers who are not San Diego County residents must also provide a $200.00 deposit to open an account
Authorized user designation for Borrowing
One authorized user may be designated per borrowing account. The authorized use must be an immediate family member or an individual who is professionally employed by the account holder and who is not an attorney.
BY SIGNING BELOW YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•The San Diego Law Library card or ID must be presented when borrowing materials or claiming benefits.
•Library cards and benefits are non-transferable.
•The Library retains the right to revoke borrowing privileges and/or benefits if rules are abused or library charges are not paid.
•The Library is not responsible for notices the borrower and/or benefit holder does not receive due to change of mailing or e-mail address. Borrowers and benefit holders are responsible for informing the library of changes in contact information and having a current email address on file.
•Should the Library attempt to contact the account holder for any reason, and cannot do so, the account will be restricted immediately.
•All borrowing and benefit accounts are valid for 365 days (one year) from the date of payment.
BORROWING:
•Overdue fines are $2.00 per day, per item.
•Replacement costs will be charged for materials lost, damaged, or not returned.
•Requests for closure must be submitted in writing. No refunds will be given upon closure of an account prior to its expiration date.
•A borrower may change their borrowing level at the time of renewal or pay at any time to upgrade to a higher level. At no time will a refund be given if a borrower chooses to move to a reduced borrowing level
•Borrowers who are not San Diego County residents must also provide a $200.00 deposit to open an
account

Before your account can be activated, we will need to verify your identification and San Diego County residency status. Someone will contact you for a video chat or you can send verification to refdesk@sdlawlibrary.org or come to the downtown location with the documentation. We accept the following verification showing a residence address in San Diego County: California Drivers License, California ID Card issued by DMV, or utility bill. For photo identification we accept: Drivers License, State issued ID card, Student ID, or work ID badge.
