It’s Bookmas Tree Time Again

By Kelly on November 09, 2017//Leave a comment

As a signature feature of our December 7th Open House, the Law Library’s Bookmas Tree is making its annual return.

What is a Bookmas Tree? A tree made of books! The 9 foot tall tree is built with older bound periodicals and superceded materials. The impressive sight will be visible from our Front Street windows. When complete, the tree will weigh almost 3,000 pounds. Check out the tree’s progress by following the Library on social media. You can enter our contest to guess how many books it takes to build it. Enter anytime up until this year’s Open House.

Join us at our 6th annual Open House on December 7 from 5:00- 7:00 PM. Our theme is Where is the Love? At the Law Library! As the heart of the legal community, the Law Library opens its doors to friends and supporters each year to come together for live entertainment, tasty food, and to catch up with friends. The winner of the Bookmas Tree total books contest will be revealed at the party.

The Library wishes to gratefully acknowledge Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) for their generous sponsorship of the Bookmas Tree.
