Baja Beer Fest 2013: On Tap!

By JohnnyZ on February 22, 2013//Leave a comment

Last week, Baja’s Association of Craft Breweries (ACABC) announced the date for the Baja Beer Fest first Edition in Ensenada — March 23rd! As last year, the festival will tour around Baja to promote the its craft beer industry.

According to the Cervezas Artisanales Mexicanas (CeArMex) — your one stop blog for your beer and brewery news from México — the Baja Beer Fest has become an important beer event. This year it will be judged by a panel formed by US professional judges and the first batch of Mexican BJCP judges in training, the first in Mexico’s short craft beer history!  Because there are rules and laws of beer processing and taste/flavor/smell, etc.  Heck, there is an actual Beer Judge Certification Program!  So that’s the connection with the Law Made Public portion of our post today.

Like Baja’s famous cuisine, the craft beer culture is on the rise. Like CeArMex says, if you don’t like craft beer — you haven’t found your beer!

I like that you are writing about things happening in Baja — especially the beer fest, which is one of my faves – but to realize that there is MORE CALIFORNIA south of San Ysidro is awesome. Thanks!
