Attention Desk Dwellers

Sitting all day could be destroying your health. It’s time to do something about it! Over the past few months, there have been numerous news stories about how “sitting is killing you.” Most of us make a living sitting at least 8 hours a day, not to mention time spent traveling and sitting on the couch. What can we do about it?

 

According to Dr. Jordan D. Metzl, the answer is NEAT – nonexercise activity thermogenesis. In other words, getting up and moving around, at an easy pace, as often as possible, for as long as possible.

 

Here are some options to help change your sedentary ways:

Remember, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. Do something for you, get up and move!
