Assistance with Civil Appeals Tuesday, August 20
Do you want to appeal the decision from your civil case? The Civil Appellate Self-Help Workshop can help guide you through the appeal process. It will describe the steps in an appeal, court rules and procedures, and other useful sources of information.
And, if you qualify for a fee waiver and have already filed a notice of appeal for your civil case in the California Court of Appeal, 4th District, Division One, you can apply for the Access to Appellate Justice Program to see if you can be paired with a pro bono appellate attorney.
The workshop is held on the third Tuesday of each month, 4pm to 6pm, at the Law Library’s Downtown location. The next session is Tuesday, August 20. Please call the Legal Aid Society of San Diego 619-471-2781 to register (leave a message). Please come 15 minutes early if you would complete the paperwork for the Access to Appellate Justice Program. For more information, check out the flyer.
